Not bad light reading for very young kids

Well this is a series of my long-past childhood but I’ll try to review it to the best of my recollection.

As the blurb says, these books are about a bunch of kids who form a club and solve small mysteries and stuff. Enid Blyton is fond of this plot device and several of her series of books are based on this type of scenario. The problem with this series however is the sheer number of children involved. There are way too many of them and one wonders how they can even fit into any fair-sized shed. They are all also very goody-goody even by Blyton’s standards. I don’t find them very believable but hey, they’re not bad to start out with, after reading Blyton’s Noddy series.

I suggest that after a few of these books, one moves on to other series of hers, like the Five Find-Outers, etc. Now those books are really fun and the kids are much more normal and mischievous.
