So I joined this company in the year 2009. I was actually placed in a IT firm but my joining was delayed due to "Recession" so rather than sitting back home I decided to "utilize’ my Electronics Engineering degree and do some time pass work and earn some money. So without having much knowledge about the company I gave interview for this company and joined Selec Control in Mahape
My Position: Assistant Production Engineer
Profile: To assist Production Engineer in setting up manufacturing line. Assisting in testing of pilot products and EMC testing.
Salary: 10k per month( good enough pocket money for a 22 year guy.)
Working hours: 8.30 am( STRICTLY) to 5.30 pm( till Infinity)
Lunch time: 12.30 pm to 1 pm( Lunch break reminded me of school. very strict timings for lunch. You have to be back on your workstation by 1 pm.
Facilities: There are no special facilities Salary is the only thing that you will get( which may also get deducted if you are late by 5 mins in morning.)I was expecting a cafeteria but Even there is no dedicated space to have your lunch as well. you have to have your lunch at the place where you are working and clean it before 1 pm. No transport facility.
Culture: The culture in this company is not amazing. R&D dept and Production dept always have cold war between them. Production manager is just concerned about the production output. Employee growth has least importance.
I would not recommend this organization to a new comer. Rather he must go to a well established organization.
