I took seventymm on a "free trial" offer that I received from ebay.
When I went through the "free trial policy", it said that there is no need to pay anything for the first month and you can try as many movies as you want in the first free month trial, after which only if you want to continue, will they charge Rs.230 per month.
I went in for this offer with a thought that I’d try and then they asked me to give my credit card details and assured me that they would not use the card until one month elapses and till they call me and I give a confirmation regarding continuation of the account only then will they deduct the amount.
But, they did not keep up the promise and they deducted the amount the first day of joining (Nov 4 2010).
Later they told me it was by mistake and that they would make a refund and deduct the amount only at the end of the month and that too only on confirmation from me.
They did not refund.
Meanwhile, I took 3 CDs in the entire month and all three CDs were bad. They would not play and would get stuck in the very beginning itself. Since I’m working, I get some leisure to watch a movie only on weekend and only to realise that the CD does not play. As they do not work on sundays I had to wait a whole week again to watch the same movie with a different CD which again was the same bad condition.
Ultimately I called the customer care on Dec 3 2010 (29 days after I started the account) to cancel my subscription and now they tell me that since 28 days have elapsed and I called on the 29th day, they would not refund my amount.
As it is, as per their policy they were not supposed to deduct the amount on the very first day and had to do it after calling me at the end of the month and confirming whether I liked to continue.. No one called me for that whole month and when I call on 29th day which is well within one month, they talk of their policy of 28 days.
I would not feel all this bad if I had got to watch some movies in the entire month for the money they deducted, but I had not been able to watch even one single movie... unnecessarily my money has gone waste.
They do not have any latest movies with them and also the few so called latest that they have, the VCDs/DVDs get stuck...
They are also cheaters who don’t keep up their promises.
plz do not go on their trial offers which they try to lure customers with.
If you have DTH connection at home, its better to buy movies from them and watch them in good quality than waste Rs.230 and get harassed with seventymm.
