(News and Reviews) : Sex and the City (SATC). The verdict! Yes, it is a great movie. It will sure fresh & prop you up. I am sure, many of you, including my husband may not agree with my assessment, but SATC is one of those rare movies where Style, Glamour, Fashion and Feminism take a pivotal position. Unlike regular Hollywood or Bollywood movie, the Director is not hell bent about sharing his “GYAAN” or thrust a message but actually manages to compose a nice 2.5 hrs feature film that may be termed as Grand Finale for popular USA TV Serial – Sex and the City.

All the 4 main characters (leading ladies of New York City) in the movie, gets balance focus by the story writer and the director, but surely and naturally Sarah Jessica Parker steals the thunder. On the hind side, the film actually revolves around her, but it does not look obvious while watching it. I guess the credit goes to Sarah, who has not disappointed her millions of fans across the world. She has emerged as a true leader and symbol for Sexism / Feminism and Working women of 21st century.

The movie Sex and the City, starts with a normal pace showing 4 ladies Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristine Davis, Cynthia Nixon, in post TV Serial Avatar. The tall and aggressive Ms Samantha Jones has found her love in West Coast (Los Angeles), the Sweet and Charming Ms Charlotte along with her partner (husband?) has adopted a child from China and pretty happy with her daily chores, the smart and lawyer Ms Miranda Hobbes is well settled with her husband and kid, staying outside Manhattan (Brooklyn) area. Yes, our lead Ms Carrie (Sarah JP) finally decides to move in with her long time handsome boy friend Mr Big (Old but still charming) in a Penthouse, in the heart of Manhattan.

From here on the movie picks the pace and it is not just about 3 S’s - Sex, Surprise or Style but about normal day-do-day life with compromises. SACT, true to its image manages to keep the Glamour and Fashion alive in the movie. The dresses are pretty; the shoes are inviting, the settings are colorful and of course mixed bag of comedy, sex and emotions will keep you on the edge till very end. And yes….not to miss a Grand Closet in Jessica’s apartment built by her boy friend Mr. Big …. a dream to own ONE by every girl.

Sorry to share this, but Ms SJ Parker is getting old or may be she has shed huge weight for this movie. Her veins and wrinkles are oddly visible at many times, which could have been avoided. But over all, she delivered and entertained. She is Oprah of Fashion and Modernity now and definitely inspiration for many girls. This movie is a MUST SEE for all ladies (gentlemen too, if they wish to please their ladies) in late 20’s / 30’s and 40’s as you will enjoy it. For Sure! Happy to rate this movie Sex and the City, bold 4 on 5 Stars.
