Shakti- Really the Power ( of Woman)

Shakti- The Power shows the power of a woman and her devotion towards the commitments she has to fulfil towards her family. Karishma (Nandini) puts up a great show and matures well as an actress who is hostile at times but shows her inner strength when she is cornered by Nana Patekar (Narshimha). Moreover a brief role by Dipti Naval as Narshimha’s wife is stupendous. She stays calm throughout the film and accepts Narshimha’s every move but when she sees another woman being tortured just for the sake that she has with her the next heir to the Narshimha’s family.

Sharukh Khan in the 2nd half of the film is stunning and carries the film well till end but with some overtures in over acting which is present in any other SRK film.

Music is fine on audio cassettes but not placed well in film.

It also makes you think twice about the plight of woman on whose true story this film is based on.

Overall a good film to watch.
