The name actually is Shadan College of Engineering and Technology but there is no engineering and technology development going on over there.
I saw the standards of Shadan falling right in front of my eyes. Once this college used to produce the university(JNTU) toppers. Students geting ranks within 200 and 500 used to join shadan.
The downfall started due to poor management. Ansari was hired as principal. His task was to just sit in his office and do nothing. I never saw him visiting any class during my four years of study. I think he gained weight during his tenure as Shadan’s principal. People gain weight when they just sit and do nothing. He was a step ahead than normal people; he used to sit and sleep.
Since the new millenium it was easy for any loafer student to get an admit into the hardest discipline of engineering at Shadan and also it was much easier for any gunda to become a professor at shadan. All the professors at shadan were B.Tech’s. It was a rarity to find an M.Tech candidate over there. The few M.Tech’s over there were pathetic; I am sure they never got any opportunity in this world thus they ended up teaching at shadan. Professors ranging from gunda to aashik(with girl students) were at shadan. Beware parents; dont send your girls to shadan as instead of male students the professors will start stalking them dangerously. I knew a couple of profs who did this.
IT, CSE and ECE are the easiest branches. Those who want to go for these three branches will have the liberty to leave whenever they want to. Actually after the first two years a student like your will come and teach you for the next two years. Pay some money and the prof will give you the highest marks you will ever see in your life again.
EEE is having some sadists as profs. These sadists will torture you till death. I believe they were tortured the same way so now they are having their vengenance by torturing others.
Mechanical was relatively better and strict but again the faculty that was good is not there now. All bacchas are teaching other bacchas.
I had a lot of fun in shadan. I passed out with a first calss and now by destiny I am in USA working for a gloabl fortune 500 company. I believe that if you want to go for higher education abroad then it is ok to get your degree from any institution in india. Just to need to work a little harder, you need to have destiny favoring you and you need to be at the right place at the right time.
The only thing you will be missing is a concrete educational background to boast of; which shadan wont give you.
There were very very good profs at a time and even students were excellent; but now nothing is there.
Vizarat Rasool might be concentrating on his medical college by getting 40-50 lakh per NRI student and he might not be even thinking whats going on in the 14 engineering colleges he opened.
Foolish businessman. If he is reading my review then he should go and die in chullu bhar paani for playing around with the career of students just for the sake of money.
