Shah Rukh Khan's Zero turned out to be a dud and failed miserably at the box office. While SRK, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif's performances were praised, the film was panned for its confused and blotchy script.
Since then SRK is said to be extra cautious about the films that he chooses. While speculation is rife that he has been approached by Madhur Bhandarkar for his film Inspector Ghalib, rumour has it that SRK is reading at least ten scripts at the moment.
A source told a portal, "Shah Rukh is reading around 10 scripts currently. While the one with Madhur Bhandarkar is already known, he has also been approached by Andhadun director Sriram Raghavan, Amit Sharma, Amar Kaushik, Sanjay Leela Bhansali among others."
The Bhansali film is based on the poet Sahir Ludhianvi and there is much buzz that SRK might just take up the film. Earlier it was said that Abhishek Bachchan was approached for the role, but nothing official has been announced as of yet.
SRK was to begin shooting for Rakesh Sharma's biopic Saare Jahaan Se Acha, but it seems as if he was backed out of the film.
SRK will reprise his role as a gangster in Don 3, that is being called Don: The Final Chapter. The first film in the franchise, Don, which also starred Priyanka Chopra, was well received by the audience. The film was a remake of the 1978 film of the same name starring Amitabh Bachchan, was a hit at the box office.
