Shantadurga travels is an intercity bus operator based at Belgaum, Karnataka. Started in 2011,
the company has 6 Mercedes multi axle( tri axle ), 4 Mercedes double axle buses, 6 irizar tvs non ac buses ( 2 semi sleeper n 4 seater ) and 4 irizar tvs AC seater buses. They operate 6 Mercedes buses on Belgaum-Bangalore, Mumbai .. Goa - Hyderabad via Belgaum and Hubli -Mumbai via Belgaum everyday. I have travelled on their Belgaum - B’lore Multi axle and double axle vice versa, Belgaum-Mumbai multi axle vice versa a couple of times. I must say their service is very good. All of their buses are clean and well maintained.
The crew is disciplined and co -operative ( not harsh and indecent as with some big operators in metros ). Their buses leave on time and reach on time with no unnecessary delays. Though they do not drive very fast but the driving is at moderately good speed with no harsh maneuvers, no hard braking, no vibrations.They stop for enroute refreshments at decent places. The interiors are good and seats are very comfortable with calf support and enough legroom. Charging point is there beside every row ( however nowadays they are kept switched off most of the times ). The online booking website is very user friendly and very easy to book without much hassles. Lady seats guarantee a Lady neighbor ( If its unoccupied they allow it to remain vacant.. so that’s good for single traveling ladies ).
Sometimes they run a schedule even if the bus has jus 5 to 6 passengers. Overall a very good travel operator in a small city like Belgaum with well maintained buses, decent crew, good ride quality and punctuality. Hope it remains the same !!
