This was one really wierd and funny experience I had a month ago at a place called Shanti Sagar. this is located at R.T. Nagar, Bangalore. I am from Pune and am currently working in bangalore.... Adusting to the climate was a bit of a hassle for me and I ended up catching a cold.
I wanted to buy my cousins and relatives lunch with my first salary. So I went up to this hotel and ordered a tak-away.... The waiter told me that the order would take approximately 25 minutes. I’m not that kind of a guy who will sit down for that long without eating or drinking something at a restaurant......
Now since I had this real bad throat, and I could barely speak to the waiter, I ordered a Hot Chocolate... Waiting for the order to arrive I was almost imagining the taste of Cocoa ................wow!!!
I needed somethin warm to soothen my throat anyway...
After a while, to my astonishment a waiter came up to me with a huge glass....approx a foot tall..... full of Vanilla Ice Cream!!!!! and Chocolate sauce...!!!
I told the dude that this looked good...but I didn’t order that..
He said somethin in Kanada...and went away with the dish...
A couple of minutes later the manager and the guy who took my order and the guy who brought the ice cream walked up to my table with the ice cream!!!!!
I was trying to follow whats going on...in vain...
The manager talked first and asked me whats wrong??? I said absolutey nothing was wrong... He then asked me why I returned my order.... the ice cream... I told him that I had specifically ordered a hot chocolate as my throat was really bad... The reply I got then was really really astonishing!!! He claimed very confidently : Saarrrr this is hot chocolate!!’’ I thought I was in a dream... you know those wierd ones we sometimes get!!!! Anyway I explained to him what I thought hot chocolate was..... he totally disagreed with me.... the three of them had a small laugh at me after my explanation ... I really didn’t know what was happening.... I must’ve been the most confused soul alive at that moment!!!! I took me about a whole fifteen minutes to make them understand... I told them to take hot milk add chocolate powder to it...and thats what I meant by hot chocolate!!!
They ended up giving me a Cooffee!!!!!
I gave up.... had the coffee and paid for my order...
I also had to make the manager cancel the ice cream from my bill!!!!
This....to me was the most shocking experience ever...
Remember..... Hot Chocolate could get you ice cream!!!! or perhaps a coffee.... Like they say... Be careful what you wish for!!! You never know!!!!!
