Shararat...as the name suggests is a fun filled, naughty and entertaining programme.The story mainly is about 3 generation of women...what’s new??.. u may ask.The twist here is ;they are not humans but fairies.It seems to have been inspired by the old English serials, I dream of jeannie, bewitched.A serial based loosely based on this plot is currently being aired on Sony cannel(Meri biwi wonderful)
This programme involves a family of 5, the father, the mother , the daughter, a younger son..and the most interesting member of the family the wife’s mother who stays with them .The father, who’s a doctor (played by Mahesh Thakur)does not like the usage of magic, and therefore has strictly prohibited his fairy wife against any use of her magical powers.The wife does her housework like any other normal woman.But the mother in law(played by farida jalal)is a tough nut to crack and uses her magical powers to her own satisfaction, most of the times on her son-in law.As u might have already guessed..the relations between the mother-in-law and the son-in-law are far from cordial.The daughter, the youngest fairy of them all, is oblivious of the true identity of her mother and grand mother .She realizes the truth when she gets blessed with magical powers.Several problems are caused due to amateurishness in magic
The antics of Farida Jalal are rib-tickling..and this serial sure is a relief from the predictable saas-bahu soaps, and is worth a watch.
