Masochist traders wanted

This is a stinker of a website. For starters, all you get is a demo CD to start you off on the site which is woefully short since it only provides a few of the basics and expects you to learn all else on your own intuition or look to the Gods if you want to know anything more.

How to trade options on the site is not explained anywhere. To sell your stock you had bought before, you need to sell an equivalent quantity. If you make a mistake on the stock scrip or quantity, you will inadvertantly end up with a unintended short order. Most decent sites provide this facility through the order history page to make it idiot proof since we are dealing with money and its never too bad to be extra stringent and careful. But then ShareKhan cannot be bothered to deal with these trifles and pushes all that onto the end user.

An intelligent reader might wonder why there is no mention of customer service. Well, there is no customer service available unless people expect availability of multiple telephone numbers, emails and links to contact customer service to mean customer service. Call up the customer service and expect an unintelligible hair pulling response - mostly a reference to the demo CD or the demo on the site. On Sharekhan, these are mere props made to fill up the non-existent functionality on the site. Online and context sensitive help which is a staple on most websites is non-existent here. All you get is a demo which explains the basics and you are on your own.

If you happen to lose money in making the wrong trades due to lack of understanding of the site, blame it on your karma or your stupidity for selecting this as your trading option.

My advice: Unless you know the Sharekhan broker well or know an advanced user who uses the site regularly, look elsewhere.

This tiger is slow, toothless, meows and wil crap on you at the first chance. This site should have been called Grin-n-Bear-Khan or Tear-n-Wear-Khan
