Once upon a time...
I have been a member of Sharekhan since 2001. At that point in time, Sharekhan offered very good value for money.
The service was fast. The site was well laid out.. and the instructions (with humorous statements in it) were all so encanting.
Over the years, the service has been steadily deteriorating as they continue to add users without scaling up their resources.
The fall and fall..
As early as 2002 I began to notice delays. Then slowly I began to get errors. I would try to place an order and after about a minute, i’d get an error message. The only way to place a trade then would be to log off and then on again. Very irritating.
So Sharekhan decided to improve performance by pulling out its features - no more portfolio views , no more open positions view during trading hours. In my opinion, this was a big step down in service.
In the past few months, the number of errors, performance issues and downtime have become intolerable. The number of errors is growing like a virus. So much so that I cant even change my password now.
The Verdict
No more Sharekhan. I am switching. Maybe 5paisa.com.. lets see.
