Pros:i am a account holder in sharekhan for the past one year.I have also analysed many online brokerage houses such as indiabulls, icicidirect.Compared to these brokerage houses, I feel sharekhan is the best.The wesite load time is ok.The site design is excellent compare to others.1I live up in chennai, the customer support is good, and you can open an account with in ten days.In india bulls , you cannot open a account very soon.The sharekhan has more representatives, who will guide you , when you have doubts like , how to fill up the ipo form, etc.Cons:i think the recommendation by sharekhan to buy the stock is some what novice, even an amateur trading guy can guess these company stocks will reach a particular target.But other brokerage houses dont seem to give this information also.I see some information like 52 high and 52 low stock details are incorrect on the cons side to say.These information or incorrect for the stocks which bonus and stock splits are made.The fasttrade, which shows live streaming of stock is excellent, you can view second by second of stock rate and you can buy/sell the stocks, the only draw back is , it requires a JVM software to be installed.It can be downloaded from https://sharekhan.com/downloads/JVM.zip and you have to make changes in the internet options as mentioned below.Use the following settings in your Internet Browser (mandatory) 1. Sun JVM must be disabled : Go to Internet Browser. --> Tools --> Internet Options --> Advanced --> Java (Sun).(Change this setting only if aforesaid setting are found) 2. Enable Microsoft VM : Go to Internet Browser --> Tools --> Internet Options --> Advanced --> Java Console enabled. Go to Internet Browser --> Tools --> Internet Options --> Advanced --> Java Logging enabled. Brokerages in F & O:
The brokerage for future and options in sharekhan is very high compared to other brokerages.So one should not deal in F & O if he has account in sharekhan which they will eat the entire profit in the name of brokerages.The icici direct has one of the low F & O brokerage rates.
