Shaurya - A Fresh Approach

Shaurya was quite a refreshing movie particularly from a Bollywood perspective. A totally new approach towards all those films with military background like Border, Tango Charlie, Lakshya, and so on. Apparently, this  movie is inspired from a Hollywood flick "Men of Honour", though I am not sure, but, does that matter any more?

Rahul Bose is at his usual best and seeing Javed Jaffery in a serious role was something refreshing after all his blabbering on Boogie Woogie. Minissha Lamba, though doesnt have much to do, carries off her role with dignity. A special mention needs to be made about KK and the person who played Cpt. Javed Khan. Both were at their best in totally opposite characters.

KK had a very special role and the dialogues for his part have a punch and impress you. He justifies himself so well both with his composure and dialogues, that at some point you tend to wonder - is mass homicide a correct decision? Anyways, let’s not judge whether it is right or wrong but the movie definitely provokes a thought.

Though there is not much of a storyline, but, the director did a fantastic job to keep you holding to your chair through the end of the film. Music is pleasant and cinematography is good.

I dont want to reveal the plot and spoil the fun, but I would definitely recommend this movie as must to be watched.
