I have been going to this hospital for last 4 years as it was nearest to me and problems were not major. Mostly seeing Dr VidyaShekar/ Dr Vivek, who kept on giving steroids and lubricants and asking me to not wear CL as these were the supposed cause of the problem.
My eyes were getting dry each day and not even a simple dry eye test was done. One fine day, Dr Vidyashankar told me that I have some serious auto immune disease. When I asked him how come it was never revealed to me, he just said "there is no cure for this and any attempt to treat is risky". As if risk belonged to Doctor and not to patient.
On request, no previous records were given to me for second opinion as they just given typed prescription and nothing else. What hurt me most was unsympathetic approach and no guidance on what I should do. When Doctor was telling me about this rare and fatal disease, his staff already got next patient and Dr VidyaShankar just wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible. Any question was treated with disdain with no advise or sympathy or followup visit.
All they care for is cataract and Lasic surgeries which given them lot of money.More over they are not familiar with new medicines. Common Dry eye medicines like Restasis ( FDA approved prescription drop) is unheard of. Do not know any thing about scelaral lenses. My sincere request is to never trust this hospital with your valuable vision.
