Visited Shekar Netralaya last Sunday 30-Jun-13 for regular eye check up. My check-ups done without any dialation drops on that day. And was advised to visit again for the same process. On next Saturday 06-Jul-13 again visited and the drop was given and doctor told me the results are varying with and without drops. So I have to make another visit. I was bit confused here.
Today (08-July-13) when I visited hospital for the third time for the same simple purpose (which should have been done on the 1st visit only), I was asked for one more visit fee. This is absolutely ridiculous. If the doctors are not entertaining me on the first visit only and/or they are not competent enough to test eyes in one/two sittings, why do I need to pay additional visit cost for their incapability. And today only an assistant finally checked my eyes and given some report.
This is I believe a complete negligence of general patients. Also Dr Rashmi is seems to very incompetent in her job, not able to explain properly my problems. Interestingly I dont see Dr Rashmis name in the doctors list in their web site (https://shekarnethralaya.com/index.php?q=About_Our_Doctors).
On 6th July, the assistants are also seems to be very incapable of handling a simple eye check. They took around 30 mins just to check the basic powers (which could be done in just 5 mins from my past experience). Seems they are completely inexperienced/students etc.
So, my final comment: if they tend to extract money for such a trivial case, I pity on those old patients who are going for cataract or more complicated cases.
Hope my review help others to take decisions for visiting Shekar Netralaya.
