When we go to Seattle we like to stay at either the Westin or the Sheraton Hotels, because we are members of the Starwood program.

The last time we were in Seattle we stayed at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel, because we were redeeming some Starwood points. Our two nights here were for free!

.:The Hotel:.

The outside of the hotel is almost pie shaped, (the point of the pie is flat, and has the Sheraton logo on top).

There are over 840 guest rooms in the hotel. The lobby is quite large. There are a few sofas and chairs. On the tables are vases of fresh flowers. The reception desk is on the back wall. There is a special line for Starwood guests, so we were checked in and in our bedroom in a flash!

Our Room:

The room was air-conditioned, and that is very important when you visit Seattle, because it is always muggy here. I don’t even bother wearing make-up, (except lipstick), because the sweat runs down my face as soon as I walk out side.

We had a queen sized bed, 2 night tables, a desk with a work station on it, two chairs & a small coffee table, that were below the double blue glass windows.

There bedroom was decorated in shades of apricot, (from pale walls to dark carpets).

There were two telephones, a TV set was 27 inches, and the was a tea/coffee maker beside it. They both were on the large dresser.

The closets were large with a safe in them. On the bed was a tray with a welcoming bottle of red wine and a small plate of cheese and crackers.

The bathrooms had tiled floors and walls, a toilet, a bath/shower that had a curved shower curtain.

The long counter had a granite counter top, a few draws below it, a long mirror, (on part didn’t fog up), and a basket of amenities on it.

There was a hair drier on the wall. Hanging on the door were two terry towel robes and slippers, that Starwood members always get.

The Other Things In The Hotel:

A indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, massage rooms and sauna.

In the lobby there is a Barber Shop, Gift Shop, and a Florist.

We had breakfast in the Pike Street Café, both mornings and a drink in the Gallery Lounge before we went out to paint the town red!

The hotel is close to:

The hotel is very central, and we could walk downtown, (it’s a mile, so you can take a bus if you can’t walk that far).

The things you can visit in the downtown area are the Art Museum, the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, a lot of shops, (I like the Mon Marche and Nordstroms Department Stores, the best), Benaroya Hall and the Mercer Arena.

.:My Final Thoughts:.

Even if we had to pay we would stay here again. The week-end rate is $70.00USD per night, and if you use MasterCard you get a $10.00, (per night discount).
