45 degrees in the shade in Delhi so where do you go????? SHIMLA and its surroundings. On the 14th of May, I took off with a group of 41 intrepid British trekkers to do the route from Shimla - Tara Devi - Junga - Koti - Chalanda - Junaidghat - Kandaghat - gugaghat - TTR - Kaushalya River to Parwanoo.
Awesome views, verdant pine forests, narrow trails and the rain.
Shimla was like walking down colonial India with only one missing factor the British so I took my group of British friends with me down memory lane.
They made for a great trip and the cliff hanging walk on the edge to the valley of the Kaushalya River was a humbling experience. Children runningup the mountain while we struggled made for a good laugh when we needed it most.
The highlight was administering drips at 8500 feet. Absolutely awesome and best enjoyed with a group of friends.
I luv walkin was our battle cry. Must be done.
