Shimla - A British Himalayan Town

I have been reading people’s reviews about Shimla and found that normally people do not like this place very much as perhaps they are right that the hill town once called The Queen of The Hills is turning into a concrete forest. But there is still lot to see in Shimla that people do not know.

Look into the history of this amazing town. Find out the details of the old buildings, visit to to cemeteries of Shimla where still a number of British are buried and their descendants from England come to visit them.

Just find out that how British arrived here and improved a small village with ten houses called Shyamala to its present shape. Everything here was done by them form Railways to Education, Mail, Bazaars, Medical Facilities, Churches, Temples, Military, Viceragal Lodge, Hotels, Tourism, Golf, Orchards, Tunnles and much more. So it is not that Shimla is loosing its warmth as a tourist place. The visitors shall have to come up with the interest to see the things around and pep into the details of the amazing history of this lovely town.
