I had been to ’Hejje’ restaurant in Malleswaram, Bangalore after reading a few reviews about this restaurant.To start with the service-there is only one person to take orders from about 50 people.If you manage to catch him in the first 15 minutes consider yourself lucky.
Your order of drinks comes after another 15 minutes.By this time you start wondering if you made a mistake by coming here.The guy who takes the order behaves as if he has done a great favor just by coming to your table.Food: nothing to write about.All the dishes(veg) were very ordinary.They don’t serve the regular coconut chutney being a restaurant which specializes in Karnataka food.
The worst part came at the end of the dinner-the bill.We had been charged for an extra drink which we didn’t have.When this was pointed out a corrected bill was brought but with inflated rate for the drink.When this was pointed out by showing the rate mentioned in the menu card the waiter promptly changed the rate in the menu card with a sticker showing the new rate.Was not in a mood to argue with this kind of a setup.I paid the bill and walked out.
