Its a very peaceful and calm place. Here you can sense the nature and its glory! In monsoon season the entire route is so beautiful with full of lush greenery. it is located around 120 to 125 km from pune. There are so many beautiful ghats like Tahimini, pune bhor, varandha, mulshi pune and waterfalls from pune to shithar ghal route. Note that food options is limited so carry your own food stuff. so from pune to shivthar Gahal no hotels were there expect local vendors who sell snacks like chai - pakoda, vada pav etc. I suggest you to go from mahad road. Condition of road is bad and narrow with full of potholes.
