A piece of advice: stay away from ShopClues!

A safe practice with new online shops is to start ordering items for a low amount and wait for the first mess to happen. That’s what I did with ShopClues and I’m glad I did so… It enabled me to test them and know where they stand. Here’s my great experience with the incompetent ShopClues.


On Dec 2nd, I ordered two items of the same product(vaporizer) for a total amount of Rs 208, the shipping charge for each being Rs 90(very expensive given the small weight of the product). The order was shipped only on Dec 9th(already 5 days later) and I finally received the parcel on Dec 13th. 11 days delivery is already an extremely poor standard by most online vendors in India!


I already knew ShopClues was slow, but guess what, on top I received the wrong product! Already cooled down by this poor service, I asked for a pick-up and a refund for my purchase. Actually, why take another chance with a pathetic vendor that couldn’t make the huge difference between the product ordered and the one delivered?


Now, ShopClues took few days to even reply and when they did, they asked me to take pictures and kind of make me feel like I have to justify myself. As if I couldn’t make out the product I received was totally different from the one I had ordered. Hello, ShopClues, who is the customer here? What do they say, the customer is king, no? As of Dec 17th, still no news from the incompetent ShopClues. Actually that’s not true, I received a mail asking me to rate their product and merchant. Nice joke ShopClues!


I’m actually quite happy this happened. Sure I lost a bit of money for the wrong product, but on the other hand, I will never buy again from ShopClues. So many other vendors online have reacted promptly and even offered coupons as an apology when these problems happened. I’m also glad because by experience in several countries, I know that when I start having this kind of troubles with a vendor, it usually means they will soon go bankrupt!
