Never fall for cheap costs online

I wanted to buy a gift for my friend and was really confused as to what to buy since it was a "he". And dint have much free time so I thought of buying something online. I thought of buying something except apparels because I usually prefer buying after actually checking out the outfits physically.


While I was surfing the internet, I came across and ad of Shopclues.com saying that they offered Xiomi’s Mi3 Portable charger just for Rs699, and I fell for it. I immediately decided to buy the product from this website since Shopclues was the only website who offered the product on such low rates. I immediately gave the order.


The ordering process was quite easy and quick. I wanted to deliver the product to my friend on a specific date and hence I called up Shopclues customer care to check when would they deliver the product, and I was given a date which was luckily 1 day prior to my selected date. I was happy. On the delivery day, I called up to check when was my product going to be delivered to which the customer care executive said that it will be delivered in the evening. I was patient and waited till evening.


Till late evening my product was not delivered, hence I  decided to call up the customer care again to check the status. The customer care people said that due to some issues my delivery got late, and now it wont be possible and that I will receive my delivery tomorrow evening. I requested to kindly make the delivery in the morning, but they denied. I also went to the extent of requesting them to make the delivery in the early afternoon, yet they denied. Eventually they said that I may go to the godown and collect it myself if I wanted the delivery soon.


Nevertheless, I waited for the Shopclues delivery to arrive at my place, and finally I got the delivery of the product. When I received it, I saw that my order, which is an electronic product, was not packed properly. It was not even packed in a box. It was just wrapped in a used bubble wrap and then covered in a plastic bag. I was very upset when I saw the packaging. One of my friend who also ordered the same product from other website said that he had received his product packed properly and also has a tough box cover to keep his portable charger. It is so tough that it will not break even if someone stands on it. I did not even get that cover.


When I eventually gifted the product to my friend, though he opened it immediately, but started actually using the product after a week. Then, after a week I got a call from him saying that the product is defective. It does not function properly. When I called up Shopclues to complain about it, they said that their return policy is active only for 10 days after the delivery date. I then requested them to give me e-copy of my product receipt, since I had lost the printed receipt. I told them that I have my order no.on mail, but they denied to even give me a mail copy of my receipt. They were very noncooperative, and my experience with Shopclues is very bad. I will not suggest anyone to buy anything from Shopclues even if they give most attractive offers.
