Beware of innovative tricks played by shophunk in carrying out fraudulent activities online.
One of them is luring customers in the guise of various contests especially for high end mobile products that too for a very nominal price so that customers would not mind for the minor loss and forget the matter eventually after some initial resentments and would not take any drastic steps like complaining with the police or moving any consumer forum for the minor loss as everybody in this superfast age tries to weigh all its actions in terms of time and money and leaves that behind terming it as petty matter not worth investing time and energy, if he finds anything so.
I am also one of the victim fallen prey to the mobile contest mania of shophunk. It was in Oct’14 while surfing the net suddenly a pop-up window appeared asking me to participate and win the Samsung Galaxy contest just for **Rs. 499/-**. Tempted by this irresistible offer I was dragged slowly into their plot and coughed out the money without having a second that all payments in the e-commerce business are to be after delivery of the product. After one month I got a mail of the list of the winner and my name was not there. I’m not sure whether the names are genuine or bogus one.
After that I am running after them for refund but to no avail. They have blocked my number now and when I make call from numbers other than the registered mobile number I get only false assurance. They are not replying to my mail either. Moreover their contact number is not toll free number number for which you will be discouraged to make frequent call as you will be charged with the normal STD tariff. please do not go for any kind of online shopping from the start-up e-tailers or end up as another victim of the another fraud like me.
