I would agree that some of the reviews are way off mark. I thought I’d try this after reading some of the reviews on this place and persuaded my hubby to take me there last Saturday.
We are off to UK over the next week and it being cold there thought we’d buy ourselves some warm clothes. Couldn’t find much there apart from a very large selection of salvar Kameeze for the ladies and not-to-great shirts for the guys. One thing that we did like, a poloneck top for my hubby but they didn’t have the size. Believe me, we were lucky, if they had the size we would have paid 895 rupees for that top but after being disappointed there, we went to Santa Cruz and bought the same top, the same colour and made by the same company for 495 rupees. A whopping saving of 400 rupees.
Don’t believe me? Well try buying a Pierre Cardin lipstick shade number 619 - price 325 rupees at SS. Go to Beauty Corner on Linking road Bandra and you’ll get the same thing for 225 rupees. Hey anyone, saving money like this please mail me a cheque!
SS may have a large selection under one roof but if you are prepared to hunt around (not very difficult in Mumbai) you’ll save yourselves mega-buks - enough to have a nice cosy meal for two at a well known high-class restaurant.
Shop with sense and save your hard earned dosh.
(If you are wondering why I say ’Business Groups’ for ’Whom would your recommend it for?’ question below - then they may be the only ones who can pay up the asking prices and then claim it back from the Taxman!).
