Firstly, I totally agree with others who says that the Rediff Shopping and Ojjas Enterprizes are No 1 cheats. They are the member of the group of cheats which is headed by Bharti Airtel who rob the customers of their home country. I ordered the 2 packs of Nutella Hazelnut With Skim Milk Cocoa Spread [Order number: 6529968] on 4 July 2011. And on the order confirmation page, I got the consignment number along with the order number. So think, is this possible that any shopping website can generate the consignment number so quickly that you can get it on the order confirmation page? But I was fool who didn’t understood the knock of their fraud.
Actually, that was my second online shopping order and first third-party seller order so I didn’t know much about online shopping. And on the product page, there is written that "Delivery in 3 working days [For Delivery in India]" but on the third working day from my order, I received an email that my order has been dispatched, so I was shocked that the promise was for delivery in 3 working days but they have only dispatched my order in three days. And because I was unable to find any contact number of Rediff Shopping, I submitted a contact form on Rediff Shopping support website. But they didn’t replied, even I didn’t received the automated receipt confirmation email. And on 7 July 2011, I received an email that my product has been delivered, so I submitted a new request on the same form but as usual, I didn’t received any response. And this has been happened with most peoples as per the reviews on MouthShut.com.
So I called Rediff’s call centre and they said that their courier partner Aramex is saying that the shipment was unreachable on the provided address, so they will try to ship with another courier partner when the shipment will be returned to them by Aramex. But after some days, when I didn’t received any response from the Rediff Shopping, I called the Rediff call centre once again at the evening, then they said that working hours of their account sub department has been over, so I should call them next day after 09:30 AM. What a way! That all the executives of different departments and sub departments attends the calls on the same number, but nevertheless they leave from the call centre at different times. Ridiculous! Well, I called them again on next day after 09:30 AM, then they said to email them with my issue.
So I email them with my issue, then after 3 days they replied that they are refunding my money and gave me my order details, but after reading my order details, I caught their unsuccessful attempt to eat up my money. They wrote in the order details that they only charged Rs 50 for shipping, but it is only for 1 quantity of the product, while I had ordered 2 quantities of the product. And it is written very clearly in FAQs on their support website that the shopping cost will be multiplied as per the number of quantities, that means no discount on bulk orders. So I replied on that email that I was charged Rs 100 for shipping and not Rs 50 in detail. But after sending my email, no reply was came, however they refunded my full money as I saw in my account statement.
So, they bothered me for atleast 15 days from my order, and after 15 days they only gave me my refund. And one thing that I forgot to tell you all that I was keep checking Aramex’s website with the given consignment number, so when that consignment was delivered, it showed the delivery location on Bhiwandi, that means their given consignment number was totally fake because my delivery location was not in Mumbai only but also even not in Maharashtra. So I would like to not recommend Rediff Shopping to all who are reading my review. Please don’t buy anything from Rediff Shopping if you don’t want to face any inconvenience in your online shopping experience.
