I am updating my review. Actually in my original review, I had written that I had CCed the complaint to Ajit Balakrishnan. Though for the first two days there was no effect but then everything started working. I got calls and also mails from their customer support and they have promised a refund in next 3 days. The refund after my mail to COO would not have normally changed my view but the seriousness with which Ajit had forwarded the complaint to his staff makes me give him a benefit of doubt. So I am upgrading this review from poor to average.

I had bought an item from rediff, order no 8024566. However they shipped a cheap duplicate. I made a complaint and they accepted and even agreed to get it picked back and refund my money. However that was all. Neither the pickup happened nor the refund.
BTW as someone else also wrote, they are very good at avoiding your calls once they decide so. and that is what happened. They do not reply to mails. It is impossible to reach them by phone. Even ccing the mail to their COO Ajit Balakrishnan did not do any good. It appears it is not just the lower staff but also the top that promotes this kind of customer handling.
