Id like to caution fellow online shoppers to steer completely away from purchasing anything on rediff.coms online shopping site due to lack of customer service and extremely poor complaint redressal system. I recently purchased a Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo from online shopping company Rediff.com the vendor *Devang Shah* supplied a **fake memory stick**. The memory stick was advertised as a **Sony** and also that it had MagicGate feature and that it would work on a PSP. The memory card supplied was physically **damaged**(i.e it was cracked from near the contacts) my PSP didnt find any MagicGate technology on the card and also on further investigation on PSP forums I found that the supplied memory card had all the indicators of a fake card. I immediately tried to complain to rediff online but they need you to go through a FAQ process and then place your complaint as feedback instead of the normal Phone call or email thing. Anyway after **three complaints and 10 days** I am still waiting for a single reply acknowledging that they are at least working to solve the issue but no such luck.
31/08. Ok It seems like they finally took notice of the complaints, and sent somebody to collect the defective product on 23rd and emailed me that it would be replaced within 7 working days. Im still waiting as of today. The order number is 4027902 of 10/08.
The URL for the same product still on sale on rediff shopping is https://shopping.rediff.com/shop/productdisplay.jsp?sony-4gb-memory-stick-pro-duo-/-memory-card-1yr-warranty-+-free-metal-watch-by-electronex&prrfnbr=10187972
03/09. After one more email to rediff.com the vendor finally sent me a replacement for the faulty product. But as I had half expected **it is also a fake** although this time it is not damaged, but a fake nonetheless. Seems like if not many at least this **vendor on rediff.com deals in only fakes**.Well. back to more emails and further more blah blah blah from Rediff. Seems like this is gonna be a long long story.
