I had ordered a gift of customised pen on shopping section of rediff.com on 9th June, 2003 vide order no.1537777, the delivery date being 17th June.
When I checked up the site for delivery status on 16th evening, it showed order as pending.On calling up Rediffs customer care , I was informed that the status of the order is not known and I should call up the next day.The second day also the status was not available and I was again told to call up the next day.The third time I called up, the lady told me there has been a power failure for past 4 hours and she’s unable to help me out.The same scene kept on playing out for next 5 times with variety of excuses(order not ready, consignee out of station , etc) whenever I called up.This happened in spite of sending E-Mail reminder too. Ultimately, the order was delivered on 20th.
The most frustrating part is Rediff’s personnel’s don’t-care-a-damn attitude.You go on calling them up, because you have paid upfront and want delivery.They just don’t care a hoot.Maybe, Time and tide wait for Rediff guys.
