I have had multiple pleasant experiences with seasoned e-commerce websites such as flipkart, jabong, infibeam. This was the first time I thought of placing an order on rediff shopping and it is turning out to be the worst experience so far.
I ordered a product(order # 9777107) and was sent a different inferior product. Based on my interactions with rediff shopping through emails and phone calls, I will say that it is best to avoid rediff at all costs even if the price of a product is lower as compared to the price offered by other vendors.
The reasons are as follows:
1) Rediff customer care seems to be under-staffed. It takes more than 8-10 min to reach out to a customer care executive.
2) The CSR usually has no information available about order status and is incompetent to answer any specific queries.They just keep repeating annoying standard lines that someone will look into the matter in 24-48 hrs.
3) When I asked for escalation, the call was disconnected abruptly, twice.
4) There is no mention of escalation matrix on rediff shopping website. It is obvious as they are too shy to take complaints, which almost everyone would have.
Now I am struggling to get the money refunded, if at all it will be refunded.
Better avoid that be sorry later!
