I Will absolutely agree with the Comments our friend has posted.
Its a Waste shopping at Rediff, and Imagine the Guys challenging that they are Indias one of the Biggest e-Shopping giants do not dare to give out a customer contact number.
My Expriance - I shopped for a Mobile for my preants back in Bombay, Seeing the Verisign authentication logo on the side I reluctantly gave out my UK Credit Card details, till confirming my order there were no Hiccups, no notices, no warnings, then after a couple of hours I get an email saying that your shopping is under the High value bracket so please FAX us your Latest Bank statement and Front and Back copy of your credit card.
Who would be Stupid enough to ask such information that too over FAX (No Security no authenticity), Obviously They asked so we know who is the stupid of the lot, but I was not stupid enouugh and tsrated hunting for their Contact Numbers, In the mean while I checked with my Credit Card company and to my surprise discovered that the Amount was already debited from my Account.
So here was my question to them, Why dint the Website aske me or warm me that I will be asked for these kind of proofs. And if this was for security, how on earth could they debit my account before me giving them the proof. And if they have debited my account, why my order is not processed.
I have written to the customer care and have no reply as yet. If any one has any contact numbers for rediff, please forward me the same.
And Guys, I do agree that Rediff has a good amount of good deals, But please take care and use the Cash on Delivery Option. Atleast your Hard earned Money will not be at risk.
