The website sucks, but lets not even get to that.
Heres proof that they are frauds.
Motive: To trick you into getting Gift Certificates for your good money, instead of any actual products.
Modus Operandi: They have several products listed on the site, which simply dont exist. Theyll take your money and first, it takes them around a month to acknowledge that they cant deliver the product. They call this theirnormal waiting period. Then, they say "Sorry, we cant deliver this product" and issue you a gift certificate for the amount paid.
I placed an order for a product, which never arrived. After about 20 phone calls, they told me that they would "register my complaint about non-delivery of the product." Until then(about 1 month since purchase date), they claimed that the "product would be delivered" or that it was "on its way". Finally, after another 5 days or so, they issued me a gift certificate.
I went and placed an order for the same product using their gift certificate. Another month later, the money was "refunded" to me as another gift certificate. The best part was, this time, there was a courier tracking number and everything. Except that the mentioned courier(LATO courier) doesnt seem to exist. They have a website and I looked up their contacts in my city - apparently they are listed here. The phone numbers dont exist and the office address is some other office.
So I strongly recommend you dont buy anything from shopping.indiatimes.com, unless of course, you have a lot of money to throw away. Id advise you to give that money to flood victims or other needy people if you do want to throw it away.
