I had made a purchase of a micromax q2+ mobile from indiatimes shopping on 27th feb 2011. On 8th Mar 2011, I received a package from indiatimes. The package had: 1 Charger, 1 Headphone set and 1 Mobile Pouch, but it did not contain the mobile itself. I did not receive the mobile in the package.
On 8th of Feb itself, I registered a complaint at their call center with the complaint no. 713384. I had been assured that the complaint would be resolved in 10 working days. But, this the start of my endless plight. I did not ever receive a call from their call center. Hence, I was never informed about the status of the complaint. Whenever, I did call the call center I was told to wait for either 48 hours or 72 hours. This was the standard reply.
On the 17th March, I did get a call at last from their end. But, here again, the representative asked the stupidest of questions. "Why did you accept the package if you did not receive the mobile?". My ans: How do I know that inside that package there’s no phone. I signed on papers expecting a mobile inside, I could not see thorough the packing could I?
"Why didn’t you check for the weight of the package?" My Ans: How do I check for the weight do I have handy weighing scale at home that measures in grams. And should I have been expecting an incomplete delivery?
"Why didn’t you shake the package to hear and check for all contents?" This question blew me out. My Ans: How the hell can you ask such a stupid question? So according to you, I should expect an incomplete delivery and I should do such ridiculous activities at the time of receiving the courier.
Such intelligence shown at their end! The representative then told me he would call me within 48 hours. But nothing of the sort ever took place. No call yet.
I called them today on 22nd march, they again have the audacity to ask me to wait for another 72 hours.
PLEASE DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM INDIATIMES SHOPPING.
