I subscribed to Filmfare as they were offering 20 DVDs free. The first issue came (third week june 08) but no DVDs. Upon calling their Customer Care, was told, after "consulting seniors" that I would get it with the 2nd issue. 2nd issue came a few days back - no DVDs. Call Customer Care again - guy there told me it will come with 4th or 5th issue ! He had no explanation on the information discrepancy nor was he willing to commit that statement by mail. All he did was dole out a Ticket No.
My take is that they have taken the money upfront, hence the DVDs needs to be delivered upfront. The site’s silent on when they will deliver - if at all they will ! Don’t fall for this sucker pitch, the lack of transparancy galls. Try conversing with the chap in Customer Care - the least they could have done is taught him english or hired someone who knows english ! The conversation echoed back - with the cahp repeating every word I said without offering any solution.
