Its been a pathetic experience shopping with Indiatimes! Never knew that ordering birthday gifts for my brother would turn out to be an embarrassing experience as well as a nightmere for me.
I had ordered on 9th Dec ’06 for two gift items to be delivered to my brother on his birthday(11th dec’06) and this is what I went thru:
- webpage didnot accept gift message & date of delivery. anyhow I posted the message in the special delivery instructions box after one of their officers advised me on the phone when I called up.
2.After finishing order detail and online payment when I clicked on the ’submit detail button’ and to my horror, webpage didnot show any confirmation of the same and popped up a message - some error has occured!!
Not sure what happened to my order and the payment which was already deducted from my account I called up Indiatimes custome care and after spending a lot of time explaining wht happened I was instructed to place the order again and that fella assured me that payment will not be doubly deducted. I was not satisfied with his answer so I did not go ahead as per his advice! later I found that payment was done from my bank!! so I started following up about my order confirmation but to no avail..
on 14th dec’06 i got a surprise mail from indiatimes shopping customer care saying that my order has been dispatched!! it left me wondering how and when as their officer had told me that order was not accepted due to some technical error at their end!!!
5.i was still happy that my brother would be getting his gifts at last, no matter 3 days later.Alas! when my bro called to me to thank, i came to know that he had recieved only one item!!! Needless to say how I must have felt. then followed a series of calls and mails to Indiatimes shopping asking for an explaination what happened to my other order( a box of Rocher chocolates) which fell on deaf ears.
- its 27th dec today and I am yet to know why my order was not fully delivered despite taking full amount from me!!!!
WAKE UP Indiatime shopping!
