I have used rediff for online shopping but this was the first time I thought of trying out store.indiatimes.com. It was really a frustrating experience. I ordered a watch for Mothers Day. I entered my debit card number and made the payment. But there was a sudden error that was generated and did not give me the order confirmation number. But when I checked my account, the money was already debited from my account. It is so strange when they sell everything but they dont have a customer care department who can be reached by phone. I tried searching for some contact..but what I got was an email address. I mailed them and asked for the reversal of the money. I got an reply after 4-5 days and they wanted an order number. I replied them with the bank statement details. I again received a reply after 5 days stating that since it was through net-banking it will take 10-12 days for the money to be refunded back to my account. I ordered this well before Mothers day which was on May 8th. I am still waiting for reversal and its more than a month now. I was reading the review by vasco where he is also waiting for reversal. If we look at it from a different view where in a day atleast 10-20 customers face this problem. I am sorry to say maybe they are creating these scenarios purposefully and it is another method of earning money for these guys. But I faced a similar situation while shopping at rediff where the product was not in stock. They immediately debited back through net-banking.
