SGGS is an autonomous institute owned by government of Maharashtra.It is located in 10km outside the nanded city near the village vishnupuri.It offers engineering in 10 different streams: 1-CSE 2-E& TC 3-Electrical engineering 4-Instrumentation engineering 5-Mechanical engineering6-Chemical engineering 7-Textile engineering8-Production engineering 9-IT engineering 10-Civil engineering.The teaching staff for 1st year is not up the mark. But many teachers have completed thier Phd’s( that is what we herd) SGGS has good infrastructure along with luxurious hostel facilities.Placement records are average in this institute with CSE, IT and E& TC having good placements.Average package of these stremes ranges from 2.5 to 3 LPA.Instrumentation engineering has 100% placement over some years with some handsome packages upto 7LPA.Placements records are average for other branches.Thus, overall its a not so bad college.
