The Vikash restaurant located at Golabari bus stop near Golabari police station is an economic vegetarian restaurant. I along with my family dined in it. It has a shabby look and not so efficient waiter service. The restaurant is not well-lit and not at all spacious. ’
The ambience is also not good. The cook and waiters were seen busy in parcel service rather than catering to the seat-in customers. Although they claim to arrange birthday and anniversary parties on their upstairs space, I found that the space is inadequate to hold any such party or event. It is good for three - four persons searching for an economic place to dine.
The restaurant is located adjacent to the bus stop which on one hand is easily accessible and on the other hand it lacks privacy. Although the restaurant is having air- conditioner, I will not recommend it to a first time visitor to Howrah city.
