I bought this phone because I needed one for work, and I liked the spec. I bought it on the net from Virgin.com, which in its self was a pleasant enough experience.
However, I didnt expect it to be quite so small! No visible aerial keeps the size down as well. 4.5 inches tall, 1.75 inches wide and 0.75 deep. Add 0.25 inches all round when its within its leather case. The screen is a reasonable size but the text is very small and not very well defined in less than good light and so I would not recommend this to anyone with less than 20/20 vison!.
Its a bit plasticy but what isnt these days?
The reception is fine, although it took me a while to find the best position on my ear to hear it at its best. I suggest holding the speaker close to ones ear.
I do occasionally accidentally phone someone by mistake, because I cant be bothered to put the key lock on. Its fine for me because I have piano players fingers, but people with larger digits (ooo eer madam) may find it a bit fiddly.
It is a WAP phone. I find that having explored this feature, I will not be using it again.
If its just a simple phone your after, Id shop around as there are cheaper phones that are just as good. As for street cred....this is it. And no soppy interchangeable covers either.
I have since been given a Nokia 5110 by my firm, which is bigger and not so cute, but free, so the Siemens going back in its box. Anybody want a S35 going cheap?
