I bought the Siemens WM 2000 E in 2000 and I’ve never regretted it. In those days the top loaders were available from 12-13 thousand onwards. However like I always do, I googled a lot and reviewed all washing machines. I found out how front loaders were better than top loaders in almost every aspect. So I finally settled on a front loader which cost me Rs. 26000. The Siemens WM-2000 E.
I had to call the service center immediately on delivery of the washing machine. However the problem was only a deep scratch on the door paint. They immediately sent a replacement and changed the door of the washing machine.
From that day onwards till today, 11-Oct-2008, I have never had any problems and it has worked like a charm. Dump your clothes in and forget about it. And they come out all clean and fresh. Even the collars don’t have a spec of dirt.
And the best thing about this washing machine is it doesn’t damage clothes. I had a set of about 15 formal clothes which I used since 2000 and I am still using many of them.
I realized the difference only when I spent the last year away from home, and had to give my clothes to the laundry and also used a maid for some time. All those shirts lost color and I had to go in for new ones, in just one year.
I just love this washing machine. Costs a little more but it pays for itself in no time.
