I Recently (16 july) got a sify broadband unlimited internet connection.
Getting the connection took a long time. After a lot of tries I got the connection for installation of 1100 Rs., and package 600 with speed 48 KBps shared, unlimited download. As said.
As soon as I got the connection the tragic story started.
Even The login page most of the time takes 5 min. to load with a number of retries and with picture disabled. (During Day time) At night it is somewhat fast.
I tried near 50 times contacting sify on their helpline and everytime call disconnected as soon as I got to talk to the agent. At last I was able to make a complaint and was given a complaint number and told that technical team personal will contact me soon.
I have waited two days but no one has contacted me yet.
I had also complained to the CTO and he said I will look into it.
After repeated complaints he also said he will visit to check the problem but till date he has also not come.
The speeds in the day time are even worse than MTNLs dialup. And at night it is somewhat ok with downloading speed rarely going up 4KBps.
And in night time after every half hour the local gateway goes down for 1-15 min.
I got the sify connection thinking that it is a known brand and will provide better services but ..............
I hope that someone from sify reads it and looks into the matter.
Now I am going to talk to these people for returning my money.
