First of all I suggest anybody reading this review NEVER to take a SIFY connection. They are the poorest and most unprofessional service providers in the market. I signed for SIFY and it has been the biggest mistake I made. The company is very unprofessional, right from the word start. They have signed up with Cable TV operators (CTOs) for doing the cabling.
These CTOs do (or dont) the work at their own sweet pace. SIFY executive promised me that the connection will be done in 1 day as the line was already running there, or max 2 days. At the end of the 2nd day when connection was not done, I called their customer care and got no reply. Then called the executive (Jagadish) who was responsible for my area and got reply "These CTOs are like that only and if you want I can ask them to refund yo the money".
His attitude was he can do nothing to improve the service (then why is SIFY providing connections). I made a mistake as I was in need of a connection and said that I will wait for another day. For the next 2 days too the connection was not done. At the end of 4th day I asked the money to be refunded and this is when the problems started. Jagadish said that since cabling has been done I will have to wait. I told him I have not paid 3000 Rs for cabling but for an internet connection which I can use.
However he said that he had given me the option of getting the money refunded earlier and now he can do nothing. His attitude was as if cabling is done and whether the internet is working or not he can do nothing. He also said that he cannot refund the money as it has been give to CTO, ad if I want the money to be refunded I should contact the cTO!
I told him that why should I contact the CTO as I bought the connection from SIFY and not from CTO, I paid the money to SIFY, then the refund also should come form SIFY, however he kept on repeating that he cannot do anything. I then got in touch with their customer service Manager Gigi John, he very glibly said he will get to the bottom of this and revert by that evening.
He did not revert and has stopped answering my calls since then. After that I got in touch with their central customer care and for the alst 10 days have been struggling with them. They call them ISO certified, howver do not have an iota of what is quality customer service. I have been repeating the same information in my last 8 emails, and every time I get a reply asking for the same information again and apologies for inconvenience caused . I do not know when this misery will end!.
