I bought a Sigma Power inverter and Sigma battery from this Pune based co. located in Katraj about a year back not knowing what I am getting into! As usual before the deal, the talks by their company owner was very smooth and hence I decided to go for this. Another reason was that few of my acquaintances had also got inverters from these people at that time. First time the co. persons came in to fill the water in the battery as per the schedule. So far so good.
After that when we called them, since they had not turned out for many days, we were informed that they will come as per their own schedule. Because the battery was not maintained regularly, recently the battery of the inverter went down and when we called them we were told the person would come that day itself, but failed to turn up. Next day being Sunday also the person did not turn out.
When the person finally came on Monday he did not get enough water for the battery and said that he will come again after 2 days. 3-4 days after that again the battery went down. When we complained on Monday the person who came in informed that the battery would have to be taken to their factory for testing and they would come back in a day or two.
After that no one turned out till Fri. No one even bothered to call up and inform the progress. When I finally called one of their owner he said he is sorry and would come back to me in some time. After that when he did not bother to call me back I again tried to reach his cell phone and this time the person did not pick the phone in spite of several calls. When I called the other owner he said he is unaware of what’s going on and will come back to me. At the time of writing this review I have not received any feedback and status about my battery. The owners are busy selling their products to more "bakras" who fall in their trap. I would advise anyone DO NOT buy inverter/battery from these useless persons. They do not know how to deal with customers. Neither do they have the decency to talk with their customers. Save the headache by going for reputed brands.
Updated status - After constant follow up it was conveyed by the co. that the old battery is not recoverable and a new battery has to be purchased. Only a fool would again go for buying their battery again. The battery generally costs Rs.10000+ and their batteries do not last even a year which reflects the pathetic quality given the hard earned amount a person spends on such items. Sigma batteries have a warranty of 1 year only. I have now bought "AutoBat" battery and the persons seem to be really professional. The warranty is 2 years (shows the confidence of the co. of producing high quality material). Their cost is also lesser than the Sigma batteries. They have made a card and would fill that up every time they come for refilling the battery water. With Sigma only they had clues when they come and how much water they refill.
*So again a sincere advise to all of you to please spread the word to avoid any product from Sigma Power Inverter Pune to be bought, and save hard earned money. My goal is to get these persons to to understand what can happen by selling fake and degraded material to Punekars. So Punekars become "Jagruk" punekar and teach this co. a lesson!!!
