Silence broken

This movie is a rather dark movie. I wouldn’t recommended to those weak of heart & stomach. Definitely not a family movie.

The whole movie is a kind of ’’Cat & mouse’’ psychological game being played between Jodie Foster an FBI fresh recruit & Anthony Hopkins a cannibalistic psychopathic killer lodged in a mental asylum.

Jodie Foster is assigned to the solve the case of serial killing of girls by a crazed lunatic with the help of Anthony Hopkins who happens to be a former shrink.

Anthony Hopkins in his Oscar winning performance as Dr Lecter Hannibal, plays kind of ’’shadow villain’’. He is not the real villain of the movie, but emerges more terrifying than the real one (whom Jodie is trying to catch) as movie progresses.

Here is a villain who tries to understand you, gains your confidence, learns your weaknesses & uses them against you & then victimizes you.

If you are the sort who loves mind games type psychological thrillers (like me) you’ll be thrilled by this edge of the seat thriller.

Those who despise violence, gory scenes, etc. etc. should avoid this movie.
