Well sorry Mr Gopinath for calling it Dhakkan, but truely its the phrase of one of my friends who got an emergency landing afar from runway in the fileds.
I have made around 8-9 trips in Bangalore-Mumbai-Delhi sectors in the last 8-9 months, and luckily I have not encountered any misshaps. This airlines suits me perfectly for any non-time bound trip, because we do understand that since this is a new airlines they have not got any private hangers of their own and this is the cause for most of flight delays.
Anyways, they are optimising their infrastructure and I sincerely believe they will be much more professional and time-bounded with their flights.
But one word of caution it is better not to take risks for emergency or cruicial travels because if an aircraft goes down it takes prolonged period to recover for their inadequate infrastructure.
Otherwise its a good one. I always prefer it for my travel. and I believe deccan has been able to capture the middle class sector to a large extent.
My objective is to board the flight and reach the destination and that thing like most of the average indians are being satisfied by this airlines. I sometimes see people complaining about its bad service, but have they ever thought hw much are they paying? We are p[aying less than half the price of normal fare and expecting Jet/sahara type service? Ridiculous..........
Buddies, if you are boarding air deccan do not compalin about it comparing services to the other airlines, because it is after all the money that matters.
If the flight runs at scheduled time I give my ratings as all ok...... flights are all new... staffs ok and helpful at airport, seats ok.......... travel time enjoyment- boaring bexcause of that dull cnbc/ndtv channel. That thing can be improved I suppose.
Otherwise.........come on indians, pay less than half the price, board it in time and reach your destination. Overall, enough for getting an above average/good performance rating.
Best,
Surajit
