Well what can I say about Air Deccan....
Would it have been better had I accepted my bosss offer to travel by train instead? sure it would have been without any doubt.
Except for the fact that you save time air travel is also a comfortable way to travel.
But I guess Air Deccan gives an entirely new meaning to flying.
To begin with the flight is a small crammy one.
And for some strange reason they dont allot seat numbers. Once you enter the flight, it is more like a game of musical chairs. First come first served ideology. You can actually sit on any seat that you like.
Like I said I dont understand the reason why. All seats are as uncomfortable as the next.
The airhostess on board the other day was not just unpleasant looking but also equally disinterested in what she was doing.
It can be a boring job serving people in the middle of the air but hey that is what they get paid great guns for and get a chance to travel places. But our lady couldnt have cared less.
I had barely closed my eyes when the flight took off and I was jolted. The propellor blades made sounds which were like a constant bombarding happening in your head.
And the sound was just not during the take off but all through the flight.
Believe you me, I had a headache for the next two days. And travelling back by the same flight the next day didnt really help much.
It was quite early in the morning and I did try to shut my eyes for a while when my cameraman woke me up because he wanted ten rupees change.
Why in the middle of the air in Gods name did he want a ten rupee note was my first reaction. To which I learnt that the hostess asked him if he would like to have tea and he called for a cup and had to pay for it.
Much like apna trains... wat say...
If I had enemies I wouldnt wish for them to fly by this airline or maybe would just buy them a ticket and make sure they dont get any cotton to stuff in their ears!!
