Its like an Ox cart that Flies

I was booked for the DLI- KOL flight which was scheduled to leave @ 2110 hrs from DLI.


The experience started with the ticket purchase on the phone where the executive who spoke hardly could understand a word of English and to be very frank , whose words I also could hardly understand, so bad was his south Indian accent.


No emails are sent confirming the reservation, even though I was told by the booking executive that one would be sent.


The day of the flight I recd an SMS 1 and a half hrs before the flight was supposed to leave informing that its been rescheduled to 0005 hrs the next day. Unfortunately by that time I was already near the airport.


The behaviour of the counter staff was pathetic to say the least. When asked whether I could check in right now 3 hrs before scheduled departure when the normal tie is 2 hrs ) the lady stiing next said "are u mad"... Well if thats customer service in a service industry, I would hate to see bad behaviour from them.


The plane finally left @ 0115 hrs after a mad rush to see who could board the flights first as there are no seat no.s and its a first come first serve, and everybody wantede the front seats so that they could get off the flight faster. (Who can blame them).


It finally reached Kolkata at 0315 hrs, and there was hardly any taxi’s in sight.


It was my first and thankfully my last visit in AIR Deccan, where punctuality is their motto.
