I fly just once from delhi to chennai.
I have just one suggestion for wannabe flyers.
Think of air deccan flight as a short economic bus ride and you wil have a decent time.
You dont expect the bus conductor to smile at you and to offer a drink/food, do you?
In my flight, there were no allocated seats, so it was first come first
sit basis. It was fun initially, people running towards the plane to
book a seat but became unpleasant in the end as four passengers couldnt
find seats!
Did I tell you about the seats. If you have arthritis, forget about
flying in Air deccan. You cant get into those cramped seats.
Though it was noisy with kids running around in the plane( when the
seat belt signs were ON) I felt very homely and Indian in the end. But
I dont want even my enemy to work as an air hostess in Air Deccan.
The tickets are really cheap and I liked the way they were honest about their cost cutting strategy.
In summary, the experience depends upon your expectations really. Air
Deccan takes you from A to B(most of the time) for less money.
Nothing more. Nothing less. Thats about it really.
