I was traveling back from Singapore to Delhi on 18/10/2014 by Singapore Airlines SQ406 on ticket no. 6182407569107(PNR 2YYNMX) . On receipt of my check-in baggage(reference no. SQ384883) from the belt no. 14 at T3 Delhi Airport, I found that the lock of my bag(Samsonite) is completely broken and cash of Singapore$ 1500 was stolen from the bag.
It has really been a horrific experience for me. The matter was immediately reported to ground staff of Singapore Airlines at Delhi Airport. However, the kind of treatment and lack of sympathy which was meted out to me by your ground staff at Delhi Airport was even more horrible and would tantamount to harassment of a customer. The financial loss has been huge for me. As this is the responsibility of the Airlines to maintain safety and security of the its customers and their belongings, Singapore Airlines must compensate me for my losses which I incurred during my journey with them in terms of a) theft of Singapore$ 1500, b) damaged baggage, c) huge mental harassment I was subjected to in the process.
I registered Property Irregularity Report(PIR) with Singapore Airlines at Delhi immediately after the incident on 18/10/2014. I have also brought up the case for the attention of Singapore Airlines through mails. However, response from Singapore Airlines is pathetic! They are unwilling to accept any responsibility!
Gruelling experience indeed!
