The Moment I landed on Changi Airport, I could never imagine that this is the land, where I will fall in love at first sight. I had been on a 4 day trip to Singapore on business between Aug 19th and 23rd 2008. I was truly fascinated by this country. The way the government has taken initiatives in promoting the island nation, is truly amazing. The multicultural environment and multi ethnic work culture and openness towards the visitors that this country shows, yet maintaiing its traditions and law intact, is worth appreciating.
I stayed in a Hotel 81, near Little India and was truely fascinated by the Little India area. I visited the famous Mustafa Centre. Had food in truely Indian restaurents like Sarvana Bhavan, Ananda Bhavan, Copper Chimney, Ganga Retreat and was truely fascinated by Murugeshwar Idli Centre.
The network of railways is lovely and very cost effective. The shoppers paradise is a little expensive on the accomodation but is really beautiful to see around. A visit to the night safari is a must. The lovely people around are all out to help you and a wide network of MRTs and Buses make it fun as well as moving around a lot of convinience and cost effective nature makes it truely a second home for me!
